Sarah Eklund is a Art Director & designer, photographer, and hand letterer currently residing in Austin, TX.

I am Washington State native and have recently moved to Austin, TX after living several years in Scotland. I love snow, photoshoots on sunny days, traveling, sweet coffee, learning new things, swimming, cats, and painting. 

I love setting goals for myself which keep me motivated, and more importantly, happy. Apart from design, I love journaling and writing my experiences, and learning about nutrition. I will always find a reason to be outside—whether it’s 40mph winds in Scotland or 100 degrees Fahrenheit in Texas. I love a good wordplay, as well as learning any new creative endeavour. I am currently finding ways to slow my craft and create lasting pieces that live beyond a social media post.

Design ethos

My work history is in print design, specifically publishing, and I deeply value print projects because they are typically more treasured pieces and less common projects. However, digital design is massively important to me given the world is becoming more connected and dependant on good digital communication. My design goal isn't to get one certain job, rather to challenge myself, grow in my work, and collaborate with other creatives.

I enjoy juggling multiple projects. I usually have a side project or two going on.

I am highly experienced in Adobe Creative Suite and possess the tools to create a strong and effective design whether print or digital.
